About Pippa
Sweet little Pippa is outgoing with a happy and loving nature. She is not at all shy and adores sitting on your lap for cuddles. If this beautiful girl gets the chance she will sneak a kiss in. She loves her human companions, gets along well with large and small dogs. Pippa also enjoys the company of her feline friends. Pippa had her first trip to the beach recently and she LOVED it. This brave little girl ran straight into the water where she frolicked and worked on her swimming technique.
Pippa is so much more than a pretty face. She is very smart, quick to learn and eager to please. To ensure Pippa utilises these great attributes for positive behaviour, she absolutely needs someone who will continue her training. In addition to being house trained and crate trained, Pippa understands the commands to sit, drop, stay, stand and heel. Pippa also responds extremely well to off-lead recall, and loves running around off lead. This well-mannered canine waits to be asked to go through doors, waits to eat her dinner and doesn’t jump up on people.
Pippa is still really a puppy (around 18 months old) so does like to chew things, especially doggy beds and also likes digging the odd hole. Pippa requires boundaries set and consistent guidance as she has a tendency towards dominant behaviour.
Sadly, something bad happened to Pippa in the past. As a consequence she came to her carer with a real dislike of being handled around the neck area. Her carers with the aid of experts have been carrying out desensitisation and trust exercises and have come a long way. To fully conquer this issue, as Pippa’s forever family, Pippa will rely on you to assist with working through her fears and to continue the training journey. Commitment to Pippa is imperative, but the reward of the most delightful companion will outweigh all your efforts.
Pippa’s forever home will be with someone who does not have small children, is not a first time dog owner and is seriously committed to training her. Despite her small size, she’d really thrive with an activity such as agility training. As Pippa is an active and social girl, it is important that she shares her home with another dog for company.
Pippa is a brilliant creature and will thrive with positive and loving attention. All she needs is a special home that will enable her to develop a deep sense of trust and blossom into her full potential.
Pippa is located in Melbourne.
Medical notes
Happy, healthy girl.
