About Joy
Joy was rescued from Somerset Pound in Queensland. We called her Joy as she is such a happy girl.
Joy is a GSDxKelpie and is currently living with other dogs and young children. We believe Joy must have been a family pet as Joy loves children. She is also protective of her family - however is happy to greet people with her wagging tail once properly introduced.
As she is a mixed breed and is very active Joy will need an active, outgoing family who will be committed to her exercise requirements.
Joy will also need a family who will continue with her training. She can get very excited and is currently being trained not to jump up and greet people over enthusiastically.
Joy has a beautiful nature and absolutely adores people, going for walks on her lead and having cuddles.
Joy is happy to live outside - however as she enjoys being with her family she must not be left just as a yard dog. As with most GSDs she needs physical and mental stimulation.
Whoever adopts Joy must spend time with her to introduce her to their family and gently let her know the rules and boundaries in her new environment.
We recommend the use of positive reinforcement training which is enjoyable for both dog and owner.
Medical notes
Joy has been de-sexed, heart worm tested and has had her C5 vaccination.
