About Dozer *On Hold, Adoption Pending*
A little bewildered and upset Dozer is at a loss as to why his family has abandoned him. He was left behind after they moved into another home and did not take him with them. Surrendered to the pound and without the family and home he loved, Dozer is now in search of a new life.
A gentle, loving dog, Dozer may be a little grey around the muzzle, but he is a pure delight, and a handsome boy too !
In his previous home he was living with children which he loved, so a home where there are kids would be fine, although he would also suit an older family with no children where he will be given the opportunity to laze around and soak up the sun during the day, and share the couch at night.
Dozer has been used to being an indoor/outdoor dog and his new home must be one where he is allowed indoors. Being a staffy, he loves to spend time with the family, and also needs to sleep indoors. He tends to feel the cold, so a warm bed and a place to call his own in the home would be ideal.
The average lifespan for a Staffy is around 15 years, so Dozer is likely to have many more years left and he deserves to spend them in a kind home where he will be spoilt and loved.
Easy going, and getting alone fine with other dogs, Dozer is a well mannered and well behaved boy. Although he gets along fine with other dogs, his ideal new home will be one where he is the only dog so he does not have to share the affection. A home where he will be doted upon by the family and the centre of attention would be ideal. He deserves lots of love!
A feline free home is a must as Dozer is not a fan of cats.
A dream to walk, Dozer just strolls along by your side on leash and enjoys his walks. He will require regular exercise to keep him fit and healthy.
Dozer will make a wonderful companion for his lucky new family. He is sure to provide much love and laughter and bring joy to the home. He will be no longer be a sad old soul once his new family find him and show him that the world is not as bleak as it currently appears.
To brighten Dozer's world and give him the opportunity to enjoy the remainder of his years in a comfortable home, please contact us.

Medical notes
When Dozer arrived from the pound it was apparent that he had a problem with his ears, being the result of a long term infection which had not been treated.
The diagnosis is that he will require a ear canal ablation. Essentially this involves the removal of the diseased and infected ear canal whilst leaving the hearing organ itself (the inner ear) in place. The middle ear chamber (tympanic bulla) is carefully inspected by the surgeon at the time of the operation and any abnormal tissue or material is removed.
We have started Dozer on his pre-op medication to try and remove the current infection and he is scheduled to be operated on the 1st August, and once his treatment is complete, he will be ready for his new home.
