Hi, I'm Harmoni and I'm a nervous little thing who was sadly surrendered due to my owner no longer being able to care for me! I'm not too happy being in the shelter so please don't look past me, a home is where I belong! I've lived with a dog before and I did not like so therefore I will need a canine free household!

Hello! Do you have a warm blanket for me to snuggle under? That's my favourite thing in the world. If there's no blankets around I just bury my head under my big bushy tail instead - it's almost big enough to be a blanket! My name is Harmoni, though I don't respond to it, so you could give me a new name that better suits my personality. I'm a very sweet, snuggly, seven year old lady. I love to sit purring on your lap, spread out on your chest, or just to sit nearby as you do your own thing. I'm also quite content on my own though, especially if there's a warm patch of sun to lie in. While I'm happy on my own, I will still trot to the front door to greet you when you come home. I'm very chatty, and will meow to say hello, and just generally to announce my arrival. No one should miss me, of course. I'm also vocal when anything happens that doesn't quite meet my standards. Like if you lift a blanket off me, or try to pick me up. I stay quiet while the humans are sleeping though. I like to play sometimes too. My favourite toy is a scrunched up ball of paper that I bat around the house like a soccer ball. I also enjoy watching the birds out the window.
I lived with a dog before and didn't like those slobbery things at all, so no dogs please. I think I would be okay with children, as I'm very gentle, as long as they don't try to pick me up (though I might get used to that). The people at Cat Haven didn't think I was gentle. I was so outraged at being stuck there that I hissed at everyone for two months, which is why I went to foster. However, after only a day of hiding, I came out, eager for pats, and have been the gentlest girl since, never hissing or scratching at all. I'm starting to gain some weight and recover my big fluffy coat after my ordeal. I have such soft, silky fur, I'm sure you will love to stroke and brush it.
