About Poppy
Poppy, not like the flower but like your dear old pop.
Poppy is a sensitive little soul who enjoys the quiet in life.
He is a pretty cruisey little man who is happy with the bare necessities in life. A warm bed and a garden to potter and do his business in is all this little guy needs. At only 3.2 kg this tiny little might is the perfect foot or lap warmer.
Poppy can be a little nervous for a few days but quickly warms up, he can also scream out when he is picked up when he doesn't know you, this won't last long but is worth mentioning. He is not needy and doesn't mind spending time outside or sleeping the day away.
Poppy has not a care in the world for cats, but would prefer to be the only dog. Unless the existing dog took not notice of his existence. He is dog friendly and non reactive.
Poppy would be fine with visiting kids.
He is toilet trained and will sleep in his bed or a crate overnight.
He is looking for a senior to enjoy his senior life with, he makes excellent company of an evening. Easy to care for and easy to have around.
Poppy is located in whittlesea for meet and greets.
Medical notes
Poppy came to us very matted. His hair cut is awful, but there is only a few weeks between a good and a bad hair cut, so it won't be long until he looks so cute again.
He is
desexed
vaccinated
microchipped
intestinal wormed
heartwormed
flea prevented
Poppy has had all but 5 teeth removed but has no concerns eating. Poppy also has a luxating patella that the vet has suggested due to age and no concern would not recommend surgical intervention.
Adoption details
Our adoption process has 5 stages -
#1 A brief description of your home-
We ask that you send an inquiry with a brief description of the home that you can provide and why you think your home is suitable for the animal you are inquiring about.
Please note: if you do not send a brief description of the home that you can provide we will not continue with the adoption process
#2 Some questions-
You will receive an adoption application form within 24 hours of your inquiry being sent
#3 Photo's of your yard - Applicable for dogs only -
Please provide photos of your yard including sheltered area from sun and rain
#4 Meet & greet - With other dog/s if you have any -
You will receive an email within 72 hours of sending your application in which will let you know if your application has been successful. We will then organise a meet and greet.
*PLEASE NOTE*: Not all applications are successful. We aim to match our animals to their perfect homes, sometimes there are many homes suitable but unfortunately only one animal.
Organized MEET AND GREETS do not guarantee the adoption of our of our animals. Eden Ark have the final say in the meet and greet process, If we feel our animal will not suit your family the trial period will not go ahead.
#5 A 7 day trial period -
If your meet is successful we ask that you have everything ready to take your new family member home that day. if this isn't possible, prior arrangement MUST be made - please understand we are not in a position to hold animals for you. Meet and greets are on weekends only, unless prior arrangement has been made. Please note your meet and greet will be organised the first weekend available from an approved application, we try our best to accomodate but again we can not hold animals.
Adoption fee must be paid in cash on the day if your meet and greet is successful to start your 7 day trial period.
Once your 7 day trial period is complete,
Welcome to the Eden Ark Family!
