About Bucky
I went to my fosters as a very scared, skinny little stray. The next day they had covid and my dad went to hospital. This meant my sick mum was ALL MINE for a whole week..lying down with me on her chest and 24/7 attention. So now I'm a super cuddly, chubby little dynamo.
In the morning after some dry food and killing a few small toys I run up to my fosters' bed for cuddles and a bit of silliness. I am so relaxed ...loved being touched and stroked, and especially enjoy a foot massage... so much, in fact, that Im quite happy to have my nails done!
Although I can certainly know how to relax (usually lying on my back!) I can still be a bit worried about people's hands and when they come towards me. But now instead of just running off and hiding for the day, if I get a scare I will soon come out and socialise if I'm gently encouraged.
Playing keeps me very busy... hiding, chasing, batting and throwing toys, and scorching around the house. While I love someone playing with me I can also spend plenty of time amusing myself with toys...especially ones with real feathers.
Because I'm a little dynamo I'm a good eater... not a fussy, picky cat. I love both wet and dry food, and am a very social eater when I can share small treats of chicken, fish, and other meat from my foster's dinner.
My coat is short, thick and soft with beautiful strong tabby black and ticked greys. I'm a bit unusual with my very spotty sides and tummy, and strong little zebra stripe legs. My feet also have tiny spots on them and the undersides are super soft black velvet. My face, chin and eyeliner are lighter cream and white and let my expression show whether I'm happy, upset, or worried.
My dad thinks I'm very smart and a quick learner...I now usually come when I'm called, 'fetch' my favourite toy when I'm in the mood, and I no longer pick furniture. He says I'm a clever, bouncy little 'nugget'. My mum says I'm the chattiest and 'smoochiest' little cat she has ever known.
I am very clean...a busy groomer and haven't had any accidents with the litter box.
Of all the beautiful kittens my fosters have cared for, they say that I am the most engaging, personality puss of all.
I will be very happy and loving in a family who can be a little bit patient if I get scared, and who will have plenty of time to play and to cuddle me.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
