About Peppa
Peppa is 9 years old and looking for a new furr-ever home after her previous owner's baby became allergic to her. She needs to be an indoor only to protect the local wildlife. Here is an update from her foster carer:
She's a dear little cat and I think we are bonding nicely. She is quite snuggly with me and loves to sit quietly on my lap and she loves snuggling up in bed. She loves treats and just hanging around with her human.
She's social when we have a visitor...as long as she is allowed to become social on her own terms. Everything is interesting!
Her favourite treat is the cat video entertainment on U tube. Sometimes she hides behind my fiddle leaf fig so they (in the video) can't see her watching them. She still occasionally looks for where they disappeared to behind that big screen too. Her favourite spot is in her tree at the window and when its not too cold she has the window glass opened up so she can sniff the air and investigate more clearly anything she sees moving in the trees and garden.
She'd love to go outside but has learned she's not allowed so now and again she has an urge to race around and over the furniture to expend some of her pent up energy. She's still somewhat easily startled at sudden movements or loud and or unfamiliar noises.
She's very much her own person and I have learned that her tolerance for petting is short although that too is getting better. She will instigate play too, especially hide and chase and find/attack the hidden hand under the cat bed!
She's loving the occasional brush. She's looking beautiful in her winter coat and I tell her often that she's beautiful and I'm sure she enjoys the compliment!
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
