About Carter
Carter is one very lucky rabbit! He found his way into our care after being found locally to us in Maddington - He had been seen living it up in neighboring gardens for a few months and wasn't too keen on being caught. Eventually, he was captured and after whirlwind few days he found his way into our care.
Carter isn't your average run-of-the-mill dwarf rabbit! He is incredibly lovey-dovey and will do his best to flicker those beautiful eyelashes just to get your attention for head rubs! He LOVES head rubs! What makes Carter special is the complete transformation he has made over the past few months. Gone is the scared rabbit that hated being picked up or even touched! He knows he can trust humans again, something we have worked so hard on with Carter. Don't get me wrong, he knows what he likes and doesn't like! Carter especially loves to explore, must know what you're doing every time you walk past his pen, and LOVES to flop out on the tiles...splooting king! This just adds to his enormous personality. It's very hard not to have a smile on your face when you look at him, he is just so handsome! Carter is a smaller size (yes, don't let the ears fool you! He is a small rabbit) rabbit but with a huge heart and personality (if I didn't already have a fluffle myself he would definitely be staying!). Carter has such a gentle soul....and an old soul some would say. At times he can be quirky/dorky and ridiculous (in a good way) too.
Carter has become VERY accustomed to being groomed by me, he just lays there and lets you brush him, nail clips no problems either. He has a short ginger/cinnamon coat with darker highlights on his ears and a white belly - Easy care with a weekly brush and 2-3 times a week when he is going through a heavy moult.
Food, food, and more food! Carter is a hay (oaten) machine, the more the better! He has a very large litter tray with Catmate litter in the base and a thick layer of hay on top. He has a top-up at night too. In his short time with us, we have been experimenting with different fruit and vegetables which Carter has enjoyed...and making up for lost time too! We transitioned Carter onto Science Selective which he has taken a liking to! He does love his slice of apple and must-have Smooshie Face Treats!
Carter is approximately just a year old and has been desexed, vaccinated, and microchipped with Dr Luke from The Unusual Pet Vets Murdoch.
Carter would LOVE to be a single spoilt bun where he is the centre of attention 24/7! We are looking for a lovely forever home for Carter and know the right person or family is out there for him! Ideally, we would be looking for a person or family where Carter would be indoors (pen setup) with plenty of supervised outdoor/indoor free-range time and generally be a part of everyday living.
Carter's adoption fee is $210.00 which includes his desexing, vaccination, and microchip.
Medical notes
Carter has been thoroughly vet-checked by The Unusual Pet Vets. No medical concerns were noted.
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view our beautiful rabbits. We love them all and know you will too!
If you would like to know more about our rescue, the rabbits we have in care or if you are considering adopting one of our precious bunnies - Please contact us via phone or email. After our chat, if it sounds like you might have a suitable home we will email you through a application form to fill in (step 1).
Once we have received your forms, we will then arrange a time for you to meet our rescue rabbit/rabbits (step 2). On occasions (at our discretion) we may organise a house check to ensure that your indoor rabbit setup is safe, secure and in the long term the rabbit will be happy! An adoption fee is paid if you decide you would like to take the rabbit on trial, this is held with us whilst the rabbit is on trial in your home. The trial period is for 2 weeks but this is flexible (step 3). If anytime during the trial you are certain your new family member is going to stay, the decision is made final and we process the adoption and change the microchip details - This makes the adoption official! (step 4). On the other hand, if you have a change of mind or circumstance we ask you to contact us as soon as possible so we can make immediate arrangements for their return to the rescue, the adoption fee is refundable within the trial period.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
