Meet Sophie – Bull Arab Mix – Approx 1 year old.

My name is Sophie and I have been patiently waiting for my forever people.

I am still young, playful and mischievous but a total sweetheart.

I get on great with other dogs and enjoy playing zoomies around the backyard and a game of bitey face with my foster siblings.

There are cats here at this house and at my other foster home and I liked them and was kind.

My favourite thing of all times is food.

I was a little thin when I came in so I love to eat.

I love breakfast and dinner and all snacks in between.

If you leave some food out on the kitchen counter then that means it’s mine right?

At my current house the bin is inside a cupboard but I think I would like exploring if I could and go diving for food treasures.

I love my chew toys and happy to gnaw away at it throughout the day.

If there is no toy or antler then a stick is something I enjoy as well.
I am so clever.

In my last foster home I could open lever door handles.

At my current foster home there are round door knobs. I cannot open those but maybe if I think really hard I might work that out one day.

I used to be anxious with being left at home outside alone when people went to work.

But now I feel so much better.

The other dogs in the house keep me company and there is a doggy door so I can go inside while foster mumma is at work.

I do need secure fencing that is 1.8 metre tall just to keep me safe at home.

When you come home I am so excited and happy to see you.

I will make you smile. I love my sleep and curl up into a ball in my bed in the lounge room.

I sleep soundly all night.

If you would let me I would sleep on your bed or even just on my bed on the floor next to yours.

Foster mumma says I have wise eyes that are a pretty hazel colour.

She says my eyes are expressive and are trying to tell her something.

I am telling her I love her but I would love to find a beautiful home of my own.

A home with another dog playmate where I can come in and out during the day and sleep inside at night.

I still need to learn to walk properly on a lead without pulling but I love a car ride and just being a part of the family.

Licks and wags Sophie

Sophie is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated as well as up to date with her flea and worm treatments.

She is in foster care at Darra and her adoption fee is $395.
