About Merlin
Our foster parents think we'd be the BEST for a household with younger kids or first time cat owners. You will definitely know when we don't like something, but we never bite, swipe, or scratch. Even when our foster carers push yucky medicine in our mouths, trim our claws, bundle us up to go to the vet, or introduces us to very excited and loud small people... we will forget what scared us and be ready for a cuddle as soon as possible! (Note from Foster Carers: Merlin and Jewels would be the most patient pair of cats for anyone who feels a little nervous!)
Jewels: My foster parents say I "bark" instead of "meow"... Whatever that means. I can be a little nervous getting to know you, but once I'm comfortable I will not be afraid to demand the pets that I deserve! I am known to be a bit bossy, but it's because I love you :-)) I especially love belly rubs, and I LOVE to play with toys, especially my blue mouse.
Merlin: My fosters parents describe me as a loud, chatty, clingy boy. I have a thyroid condition, so I am a skinny guy - which is why I will always prefer to sit on your lap to get lovely and warm. I love perching like a bird on high surfaces, and scampering around to stay glued to your side. This includes sitting on your book or laptop if you aren't petting me enough! I love to drink water from creative places, so make sure you close the toilet lid.
We are a bonded pair, but we sometimes act like bickering siblings - nothing to worry about. By bed time we'll be on the bed together to snuggle up and sleep - make sure there's enough space on the bed for everyone!
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
