About Sookie
Huwooooooo Hoomans!
My name is Sookie, my foster Mumma says I am the most aptly named dog she has ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Personally, I don’t see what is wrong with being the world’s biggest sook.
Hoomans seem to pay me more attention this way, and I LOVE pats, so really it’s a win win situation.
I am a very adaptable girl, I loved my first foster family and they loved me but when I needed to go stay with my new foster family I settled in right away and completely stole their hearts, GO ME!
I lOOVE hoomans.
If you take me home I will be your shadow, as I like to be sure I know where you are at all times because you make me feel safe and loved.
When my foster Mumma goes upstairs I am about three seconds behind her, even though I slip on the stairs from time to time, I keep going.
I don’t have to be in your face all the time, just somewhere close so I can see you.
I am a real homebody, if the option is a walk or lying in either my bed or the sun on the soft grass outside, I will stay home and lounge around thank you very much.
Apparently walks are good for my health though and when we are out I CAN walk.
My foster Dad took me for a 10km walk and I could have easily kept going.
My foster Mumma says I don’t pull much when we are on our walks, except if we see another dog or a bike.
I really don’t like bikes, they scare me.
I am not a huge fan of the car but Foster Mumma puts a trail of treats from the front door into the car and I jump right in after them and then am fine.
That brings me to FOOD!!! I LOVE FOOD.
I am also a firm believer that food is to be inhaled.
I will eat pretty much anything. I don’t get a lot of treats (save me, my foster parents are so mean!) but so far, I know I like avocado, carrot (raw!), and CARDBOARD. Empty toilet rolls, egg cartons, cardboard boxes, but only if they are on the floor already or Foster Mumma gives them to me.
I am still young (about 12 – 18 months), so I do get excited but I am learning not to jump up and I am a MASTER of sitting on command.
That said I am also pretty calm and sleep a lot, like I said I love to just chill wherever you are.
OOH I also like to talk.
Especially if you have been out, I love to chat with you when you get home! (Not barking, I only bark at noises that scare me).
I don’t really understand fetch yet but I do like toys.
I would really like to be your ONLY furry friend as I want all your attention and love.
I feel safer if it's just me and my hoomans.
ALL THE LICKS!
