About Heinrich
Heinrich is a very affectionate boy who just loves love. He has a quiet voice which is mainly beautiful little 'chirps' and beautiful green tinted eyes.
Having come from the streets he has been quite timid initially but has come out of his shell in foster care with the help of his foster brother. He has also contracted FIV from his time in the big bad world but with the right attention and care, can live a long, happy and healthy life.
He enjoys cuddles with his human, spending time on the couch just being with you but even better if you pat and brush him! He will flop onto his side telling you he wants pats, brushing or playtime.
Play time is also a favourite. He loves his toys, usually long fluffy things on a sick or his ball with a bell in it - provides lots of fun and entertainment! He keeps his scratching to his cardboard scratcher too, very polite boy.
Given Heinrich's background, he will likely be timid at first and need time to get used to his new surroundings but once he's comfortable, he will give you many purrs and cuddles in return.
He has been fostered with a young child (7-10 years old) and was comfortable with him, and is not aggressive.
Heinrich is untested with dogs but does seem on edge when hearing a dog bark so suggest a dog free home or at least a home with a cat savvy dog. As Heinrich is not aggressive at all, he should be fine with children who are gentle.
If you like the sound of the gorgeous Heinrich and want him to be your new best bud, send us an enquiry and we'll send you an adoption application to complete and return as the first step in the adoption process.
Medical notes
He has 2 of his canines chipped, these are not causing any issues at the moment, but would need to be noted in his regular check ups, in case they become an issue and need to be removed down the track.
He is FIV+ so being indoor only or having a cat run will be great for him

Adoption details
1. Initial email enquiry via Pet Rescue messaging system. *This email may go to your junk email folder.*
-Please do not enquire if you are only thinking about adopting - enquiring should only be done once you are 100% certain that you are going to go ahead with adopting.
2. Full application form required to be returned before Bast will contact a prospective adopter (check your messages / email / junk mailbox messages within 24 hours for the form).
-If we don't hear from you we may presume you are no longer interested, so please let us know if you have changed your mind, or adopted another kitty.
-Bast Team will only allow cats to be adopted who are given the best care, and this starts with their food. Our adopters must choose Vet food (Hills/ Royal Canin) only.
-Please ensure that you have written landlord approval to have a pet before enquiring.
-Please message us on the cat or cats you are interested in and we will ask you to fill in an adoption form and send it back to us, so we can get the relevant details from you.
3. Phone conversation IF your application has met the needs of this cat(s) from our team lead.
4. Meet and Greet with cat or kitten
5. Adoption (with trial period - contact Bast Team should there be any issues, even years in the future)
-All adoptions are subject to a settling in period. If for any reason your new addition is not suited to your lifestyle, we ask you contact us, rather than dropping the kitties off at a shelter or another organisation.
Please note we are a volunteer run, small organisation so please be patient with us, and understand that with some of our kitties, we get several responses, and if you are not successful with a kitty you applied for, perhaps you are more suited to another of our kitties.
Thank you
Bast Team
