About Barn Cats, Working Cats and Farm Cats
Supporting a working cat is a safe, inexpensive way to control the rodent population while providing a home for a cat who cannot be adopted out to an indoor household. There are no poisons for children and pets to get into and no need to set nasty rodent traps while employing a working cat. This environmentally friendly pest control saves money and prevents horses, livestock, and dogs from being accidentally poisoned.
A working cat is a cat that is feral or semi-feral (not friendly). For safety reasons, an inside area (for example, a garage or shed) must be provided for the nighttime.
All cats come fully vetted. Adoption fee is donation only to approved homes :)
Adoption details
Firstly THANKYOU for choosing Harcos FIV Cat Rescue. We are a no kill, no wages paid animal rescue.
Please take the time to read these points before making a decision:).
All of our animals are adopted to approved homes only.
If you have cat allergies please do not enquire, as its very sad for the animal when they are returned.
If you are renting please have real estate approval prior to enquiring.
Potential adopters must have a meet and greet at shelter and this is done via appointment to determine if you are suitable for each other ONLY.
Please have a final long think about whether you are prepared emotionally, physically and financially for a lifelong commitment.
If this all appealing to you, you will be asked to fill out an adoption contract and make payment to the rescue. Once that is completed you are able to make a time with the shelter to collect your chosen animal.
