About Harlow
Meet Harlow!
Harlow initially came from a backyard breeder, who didn't really care about the welfare of any of the dogs in his care. The neglect of their welfare went so far that council stepped in and the pound ended up ceasing all dogs from this person.
A very kind hearted family took Harlow in as they could see she had the sweetest nature. Harlow was 5 months old at the time. So lucky for Harlow, she grew up in a loving family.
Unfortunately life took a turn for the family and now Harlow's family is unable to care for her.
Harlow needs a family that loves and understands her breed, a family that can continue with her professional training. With her previous family, Harlow was attending dog training with K9 Resolution to help with her excitement and impulse control when she sees other dogs.
We need a family that has the time to commit to Harlow's training in future, as well!
She is not dog aggressive and even lives with another staffy at the moment. She's not a barker either, has a lovely sweet temperament and gentle nature. However due to lack of boundaries and structure, Harlow can be dominant with other dogs. So until Harlow has caught up with her obedience, we would love her to be the only dog in the house or with another, older and submissive dog.
Due to lack of walking and training, Harlow doesn't understand how to socialise properly with other unknown dogs on the street. She would whine in a high pitch due to her excitement, and that in itself can be taken the wrong way by the other dog. Harlow is not tested with cats.
She is toilet trained and ok being left in the house 3 to 4 hours, as long as you give her access to inside and outside to do her business. She doesn't like to be locked outside.
True to her breed, Harlow loves humans! But due to her size we think she is best suited to a family without kids under 12. She is house trained and behaves well in the house. She is an indoor dog mostly with access to outside.
She loves cuddles and can be goofy!
You will need to live in a house with a yard, no apartment or unit.
No 9 to 5 workers, she needs a family that has the time for her.
