About Sootie
Hi my name is Sootie (or Toots as my foster mum calls me). I am a 12 year old black beauty. At my foster home I was shy at first but slowly warmed up to my foster mum because I'm a big sucker for cuddles and chin scratches.
Even thought I warmed up to my foster mum I still love alone time and tend to become timid when unfamiliar people are around, I would be best suited to a quiet household. I am quite unbothered by other cats. I'm also not a huge fan of toys... cuddles is all I need, I'm a simple girl!
I was adopted from a feral cat colony way back in my kittenhood. I lived with one owner for my whole life but when she got married and started having kids she found that I was spending more and more time in the wardrobe, away from the family. I really was just trying to avoid the busy noisy household, I did the same thing when she had dogs, too! My owner thinks I would be happier in a quiet home with sweet people who don't have too many strangers visiting. Could you give me a chance at peace and happiness?
Sootie has the most gorgeous green eyes and the softest fur with a slight brown tint in the sun.... She is the sweetest cat I have ever fostered. Although shy she comes out of her shell if showered with ear scratches or a nice brush and she can often be persuaded out of her hiding spot with simple wet food, because of her teeth she chooses not to eat the dry food.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
