About Stumpy
☺🧡 STUMPY 🧡☺
Introducing the most handsome boy, Stumpy 😊 who is ready to find his furever family!
Are you looking for a best mate? Well, Stumpy is the guy for you!
Our beautiful stumpy tailed cattle dog is from papered parents, no wonder, just look at that gorgeous face 🥰! (However he is not papered himself) He’s looking for a best mate, either hooman or four legged or both ;) His ideal companion will be active and playful and able to give Stumpy lots of attention 😊
He’s a loving and intelligent dog who thrives on enrichment activities! Chasing the ball is a much loved game and he’ll bring it right back to you every time, often placing it in your lap 😍 Stumpy is a cattle dog after all, so he requires an appropriate outlet for his natural instincts! He would love some property to run amuck on! He would even love to be given a job to do! 💛 Have to keep that working breed mind well stimulated!
Once the games are done, he will give you time to relax by taking a nap at your feet 😍 He is quite the loyal companion, wanting to hang out with you all day long if he could! He knows all his basic commands - sit, stay, drop and shows these best when in a calm environment, he is working on training more around distractions. Stumpy responds extremely well to treats when being trained and when you're busy or really have to get some work done ;) he will entertain himself with a treat ball, squeaky toy or lickimat 💕
If you’re looking for an active dog to be your best mate and take on adventures with you 😎 Stumpy will not let you down! 💙

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if application is approved.
2a. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption.
2b. If meeting a cat we do NOT recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
3. The animal will NOT be taken on the day unless PRIOR APPROVAL seeked, we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
4. 14 day settling in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster carer.
5. Adoption is finalised after 14 days and paperwork/records is sent via email if not given in a kitten/puppy pack.
6. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until date of adoption. Inclusive of vaccinations, monthly/fortnightly worming and flea treatment. New owners are responsible for keeping preventatives and vaccinations current after adoption.
6a. Adopted Puppies under 6 months of age and Kittens under 1kg will be desexed by our affiliated Vet, the Adopter will be responsible for transport to and from this appointment.
