About Ruby (bonded with Ricky)
Ruby is a ten year old Kelpie cross whose owner has passed away, and she and her mate Ricky are now looking for a new home.
Ruby has the heart of a five year old. She is always excited to see people and loves pats as well. Very playful and plays fetch. Also loves sleeping.
Ruby and Ricky are ok with being left alone but prefer to just be in the presence of their owner. They will sit at your feet and just chill out.
Ruby and Ricky are dogs who will be suited to a home with either a couple or family with teenage children that have recently owned a German Shepherd. They are not suited to a home with cats, small dogs or pocket pets.
Ruby and Ricky need a home where they will be an integral family member as they like nothing better than sitting at their owners feet.
Intelligence, loyalty, love and companionship is what Ruby and Ricky will give in abundance when they connect and build that trust with their new owner.
If you understand the nature of the German Shepherd, have recently owned this breed, and are looking for a companion dogs then please consider Ruby and Ricky.
If you think you can give these lovely older dogs a new home please contact us by selecting "Enquire about Ruby".

Medical notes
Ruby is microchipped, vaccinated and desexed.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
