Franklin & Theodore

Franklin and Theo are the bestest of friends, and have been together since they were kittens. They complement each other like peanut butter and jelly. Theodore's usually the muscle and Franklin's the brains. While Theo rushes into any situation full of confidence and bravado, Franklin likes to make sure there's no danger before sussing out the best person's lap for a nap on. Together though, they both love people's company and their favourite part of the day is when their human comes home from work and they get pats. If you're hoping for some furry hugs at the end of the day these are the two sweethearts for you.

Theodore is ultra friendly and he loveees people – he wants to be around them constantly. He will follow you from room to room just so he can sit in the same space as you. Whenever you arrive home he will be at the front door to greet you. He’s also very talkative so he’s great for a chat. He is very sweet, and for the most part extremely chill – he spends most the day sleeping and laying about, and loves his scratching post. He’s a very gentle cat that hasn’t ever nipped or swiped at anyone. He’ll even lay down and let you give him a haircut, play with his paws or belly, he’s just a big fluffly sweetheart who loves people (strangers are just friends he hasn’t made yet!) He has lived with a bunny before who he got on well with and could be fine living with a friendly dog, as long as he had a dog free area to escape to sometimes. If there’s a room that’s sometimes off-limits (like your bedroom at night) it’s best to establish this from the beginning otherwise he has a habit of trying to get into that room if you’re in there.

Franklin is the biggest smooch – his happiest place in life is laying on someone's lap. While he’s shy at first and takes a while to adjust to new people or places (he usually runs at the sight of someone new) once he comes around he is the ultimate love bug. While Theo is very friendly, he doesn’t love cuddles, but Franklin is the opposite. Shy and cautious at first, once he’s comfortable he is very, very, very affectionate. He’ll often scurry away when someone new comes over, and then come out after about 10 minutes looking for pats from the new person. He would do best with slightly older kids who know to wait and let him come to them first and not to chase him. He completely ignored the bunny the pair lived with. He would like to politely request that his litter box is cleaned each day - both kitties are litter trained.

They would be best in a home with a person or couple who wants a snuggle from a furry friend at the end of the day. They aren’t aloof so they would do well with people who would like to also hang out with them and make them a member of the family. They wouldn’t suit a home with other cats.
