Hawk and Bullseye

Hawk (pinto) and Bullseye (bay) were rescued by a concerned neighbour after their humans were going to turn them into dog food!

When they arrived into our care, it was clear that they had been loved at some point as they had their basic handling but it had been some time since anyone had paid them any attention.

Both boys are closely bonded and great to catch and lead so long as you let them come to you. They will be your little shadows once you've spent 5 minutes patting them, they absolutely love being groomed and cuddled and are great with kids and will whinny when they see you across the yard to get your attention, they'd love to go to a home where they will be a part of someones family to receive the love that they crave.

They’re 7 years old , and both came in extremely over weight - particularly Hawk, and it has taken a long time to bring them back down to a some what respectable size although Hawk still has a ways to go. They will need to be kept in a paddock with little to no grass and fed a low sugar hay.

Hawk is also being treated for a condition that causes food build up in his cheeks, it's treated by massaging his cheeks down and then flushing them out with a medicated mouth wash which we will send with him, eventually his chipmonk cheeks will shrink and go away!

Hawk is great when picking up his feet but we suspect Bullseye never had anyone pick up his feet, over time he has become better and better but can still be a little cheeky but with a bit of time and love these boys will be perfect angels!

They are microchipped, vaccinated, gelded, and are up to date with feet, teeth and worming
