Meet Miss Ellie..

Being only young, approximately almost a year in age, this girl is super happy and playful. Ellie came into SAFE's care due to no fault of her own - her previous family were very busy and could not provide her with the time she needed. They knew it would be in Ellie's best interest if she found a home that had more time and attention to give her.

Ellie will be the perfect companion to an active family, as she just loves her walks and getting out of the house. As she is still young, Ellie can be still be a little jumpy when she is excited and is very playful, however she is still quite gentle when doing so. In saying that, we would suggest no really small children just to avoid any accidental knocks when running and playing.

You will never be short of cuddles with Ellie around, she loves to be with her human friends, sharing cuddles and snuggling together on the couch. She is a big girl but a real softie.

Ellie has met a few male dogs that she has had a ball running around playing with, however she can get a little dominant and pushy, so calm or non reactive dogs will be the best type of dogs for her to play with. She was unsure of the one female dog she has met so far.

Ellie is toilet trained so can be trusted to spend the night inside with her family. However, if leaving her alone in the day, we recommend leaving her out until she is a bit older as she is still very puppy-like and if bored will get into pot plants and start to chew things around the house.

As mentioned, Ellie's previous family did not have alot of time or attention to give her. We recommend that the adopting family looks at some training sessions for Ellie to help her learn the right manners to make her more pleasant when walking or when she is excited.

The adopting family will be very lucky to share such a lovable, cuddly companion in their home.
