About Deebo
Introducing Deebo
Where do we start with this little man ?
Well he is about a year old and appears to be a Dachshund x Staffy.
A short, long and chunky boy he weighs in at a respectable 17kg.
Best description so far is a Toblerone on very short legs .. although a limousine is also apt.
Interestingly he does come along happily to the names Deebo, Toby Or Limo ( Oh and Sausage)
He is somewhat shy to begin with and can be a little anxious in new or busy environments, but he very quickly warms up and relaxes.
Day 1 in foster care he made a break for freedom before even setting foot in the house.
Luckily he is not a dog made for sprinting and he was quickly rounded up be a number of amused neighbours who have never seen a Toblerone on legs scooting along.
To say he has become the talk of the town is an understatement.
Deebo really does make everyone look twice.
Once he made it inside he settled straight away and quickly made friends with 2 resident dogs and a big bossy pussy cat.
He loves, loves, loves company and gains so much confidence from the resident dogs.
Deebo is not a pushy dog, he is incredibly calm and undemanding.
He simply loves a snooze, cuddles and his food.
As he is newly vaccinated he has not been on many adventures but he travels well in the car and walks well on his lead.
He does need a harness as he still has a lot of brave to find in the big outside world and his very “unusual” shape means he is able to slip his collar easily (see day 1 in foster care).
Small and quiet strolls will be so beneficial to his development and to build his confidence.
Deebo is a total sweetheart, a quiet and affectionate little soul who gets along with everyone.
He really has not put a foot wrong in care and is a total delight to have around.
He is fully toilet trained, sleeps through the night ( he loves the couch or a comfy chair) , has impeccable manners, is not a barker nor a digger.
He is a truly awesome little man and someone is going to be truly blessed to have him in their life.
Deebo needs a quieter home and an owner with confidence and patience.
His anxiety means he can growl on seeing scary things like new people and dogs – this is very quickly overcome with reassurance and he just needs someone who will support him in those moments.
He has not got a mean or grumpy bone in his body.
He really needs company and will not do well being left for long periods alone.
A home with another calm and confident dog would be perfect for him – with company he will snooze the day away with no issues at all.
Deebo is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and is up to date with his flea and worm treatments.
He is in foster care in Strathpine and his adoption fee is $625.
If you think you could be the perfect match for Deebo, please send us a detailed message telling us all about yourself and the life you can offer him.
We know he will be popular and we will only select the best matches for meets so please do not be afraid to sell yourself.
