About Stay Gold
Meow there! Stay gold is the name & I am one special gal! I came from a home with too many cats so I have never really gotten used to these tall beings with only two legs: I much prefer cats you see! My foster mum says that I take a long time to settle in, but once I do (with the help of resident feline friends) I am very affectionate. I think I will do best in a calm & quiet home with a patient new owner that has a friendly furry companion for me. Do you have the purr-fect spot for me?
Hello! My name is Stay Gold but my foster mum calls me Bonnie and I am a sweet torti girl who is ready to make the perfect house cat companion. Firstly, I am a total smooch who loves to give and receive affection! I love wriggling my way onto my foster parents lap and falling asleep - often derailing them for other activities, but pats and love are far more important of course.
I am also very playful! At 16 months old, I am truly still a kitten and love to play with toys and chase biscuit treats as though they are my prey. I love having a great big scratching post to stretch up onto, and also play with the cat grass in my room a lot. Once I'm comfortable, it's fun for me to have some different levels to access, such as desks or chairs or shelves - or better yet, a cat tower!
I'm very well mannered when it comes to using my litter tray, and not fussy about food or type of litter. I originally came from a hoarding situation, so I have a history of living with other cats, but would need a slow and gentle introduction for it to be successful - I also don't mind it being just me and my human/s.
I need some time to settle in as I am shy at first, but once you've earned my trust I will shower you with love and affection -with a space of my own, lots of treats (and bonus if there's a pot of cat grass!) this is easily done. It took me about a week to become completely at ease in my room at the foster house. I will need to be adopted from here as I was very unhappy and scared in the shelter environment. If you'd like to meet me you can visit me at my foster home in Woodbridge, or via an initial ZOOM meet & greet.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
