About Ghost & Belle
Well, it started like this! You see, first there was me, the awesome one - they call me “Ghost”. Then the humans knew I needed more fun, or they needed more craziness - so then the lady, “Belle” joined our family. (It could’ve been the other way around too! hehehe)
We’ve been together for, wowzers, around 6 years now - that’s over 40 years in human years! Because of this, well, we really would like to find a home where a lovely couple or family (with children over 6-years-old) would like to take us on!
Both myself (the awesome Ghost), and my offsider Belle can have lots of fun in all different ways. Check out that photo where I’ve got my devil look on. Aren’t I handsome? HA HA So, here’s a little bit of info about each of us. I’m gonna be the gentleman and let Belle go first! (I’ll steal her treats later hahaha)
Belle
-------
I’m a grand 6-year-old female Siberian Husky with two brown eyes that you could just melt in! I’m so gorgeous, I even have a cute pink patch on my nose. I’m just the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet! Why? Well, that’s easy to answer! You see, I’m just so adorable and I love, love, love cuddles, belly rubs and oh-oh-oh-oh my favourite thing, is - FOOD!
The worst I’ve ever done is rearrange the human’s backyards. Okay. So, it was just a crater to a volcano, right? That’s how it started, then it became an awesome den! (Don’t panic, it is common for us Siberians to do little things like that). I’m really great with kids. I’ve even enjoyed a 2-year-old just laying on top of me and rubbing my belly.
I’m actually very calm and, ohhh boy, do I listen well – except if you try and play fetch or doggy roll-overs. I’m just a little too polished to do those things! But, if you give me a cuddle, a kiss (and of course, a treat or two), I promise I will love you ... forever!
Ghost
--------
So now Belle has introduced herself, it’s time for me to introduce ... well ... ME! I’m a bit of a ratbag. 😊 You see, I’m a 7-year-old Siberian Husky, and well, I still like to let my humans think I have the brain of a puppy. I’m more parti-eyed than bi-eyed, as one eye is fully blue, the other eye is half brown and blue. I know that’s not really that special for Siberians - but I do like to feel special! HA HA.
I mentioned I was a ratbag. It’s like this, I just get so over-excited when meeting people ‘coz I just love to be loved (don’t we all?) hehehe. I love greeting people and getting all those pats. I also like those annoying things that humans call… oh what are they called…. Ohhh that’s right, children! I’m even good at shadowing kids - but best you take it slowly if I’m with new kids, ‘coz I’ll need time to get to know them. I also like chasing kids. I don’t want to eat them - I just like, well, chasing them. It’s a fun pastime of mine.
Just like my friend Belle, I looooove FOOD! Unlike my bestie Belle, I can actually play fetch (see? I am the cool one) hahahaha I’m the utmost perfect listener (when you have food in your hand), otherwise, I’m a typical Siberian Husky, you see, my ears (like the others similar to me), well they are just painted on – they are not real!
Remember when I said I like food? Well, I do. A little too much. Please be prepared to feed us separately, and please we don’t do that share-treat thing either… I will win the debate and get the food. 😊
Must haves:
-------------
• NO cats, no pocket pets, no backyard bird cages such as chickens (Siberians can have a high prey drive)
• Secure, undiggable 6ft+ high fencing
• An insane addiction for the breed or willing to listen and learn

Adoption details
Happy Huskies Victoria Inc. (HHV) is a new Community Foster Care Network (CFCN). We are a friendly, dedicated, breed-passionate team of volunteers assisting with rescued, surrendered and/or abandoned Siberian Huskies. Collectively, we bring you more than 20 years experience in Rescue and Rehoming Siberian Huskies.
We do our best to match any of our Siberian Huskies available with their perfect forever home.
To do this we will speak with potential adoptees, we ask that an Expression of Interest Adoption form be completed, then, if needed, we may do a yard check to minimise any escape routes for the Siberian Husky. We then ask potential adoptees to meet the Siberian. If all goes well - the starts a trial period before formalling adopting. Basically this means each dog gets the best chance to settle in - same as the humans :).
Sometimes we can receive more than 40 applications for the one Siberian Husky. Which is fantastic for the Siberian. However, not so perfect for the families - as they miss out. We consider all applications before any Siberian Husky goes on trial. Please be patient with us. If you miss out, we're happy to keep your application for the next suitable Siberian that enters our Rescue Program.
For more information about our Adoption Processes, please send queries to us at by emailing support@happyhuskies.org.au. Thank you.
