About Tim
The twins are playful bundles of love with a large amount of curiosity thrown in the mix. They love playing together and will chase each other around the house while batting a toy (usually a plastic ball with bells inside) or screwed up piece of paper around, and take turns scratching up a storm on the scratching posts. Their fur is so so soft and fluffy and they have the cutest tufts of fluff between their toe-beans and in their ears. Telling them apart is a challenge sometimes, but Tina is bigger than her brother, her fur is slightly lighter in colour, and she has tufts of fur behind her ears! While neither cat is super cuddly, they are a joy to have around and will brighten up any home with their crazy antics and sweet natures.
Tim is an adventurous, cheeky, out-going lad who loves to be involved in whatever his humans are doing, whether it's supervising litter cleans or just watching TV. He's happy to curl up next to his humans on the couch and just chill, bathe (sometimes himself, other times he'll clean the hand patting him), and receive pats - he doesn't mind tummy rubs when he's snoozy too, but he'll tell you when it's time to stop!
One of his favourite past-times is sitting at the glass sliding door and keeping watch for any critters and creepy crawlies that might dare to go past. He loves to play with running water and will jump into the shower when it first gets turned on. He also enjoys waking up foster mum in the mornings by tapping various objects off the bedside table and watching them fall!
Tina is the opposite of Tim in so many ways. She's a shy and anxious sweetheart, and will take a little longer to settle in to a new home, but with her brother by her side she comes out of her shell quickly! She prefers to sniff hands before pats and will sometimes shy away if you move too fast, but her purrs are worth the patience - cheek and chin scritches are a winner! To get your attention she'll nudge a hand, squeak, or mrrrp instead of meow.
Like Tim, she likes to watch the outside world and will get comfy on the back of the couch or on the windowsill to survey the great outdoors. She loves to chase Tim or one of the resident cats around and sneak attack them from her cardboard castle hidey-hole or from the cat tree, and she'll also bunny-kick the scratching post for fun.
Email Fostercare with your phone details and foster mum will be in contact to arrange a meeting at their foster home in Byford. As we have been waiting for a forever home for a while, our adoption fee has been waived so you can adopt us for free!
Health Issues
Tina and Tim have chronic sinusitis, due to a previous cat flu infection.
Tim has mild dental tartar and associated gum changes.
Tim has, or is suspected of having, naso-pharyngeal polyps. These are benign growths that can be seen in the back of the cat's throat, the middle ear, and above the soft palate. He has also had ongoing issues with his right eye, which have been resolved with treatment.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
