About 4015 - Toffee
💜🍬 MEET TOFFEE 🍬💜
Hey there, I’m Toffee! Or as my Foster Mum refers to me as the ‘mama from the cupboard’.
I’m going to be honest… it has been quite the journey for us both. I have been in the care of the Angels for quite a while now; after I had a baby in care, I became quite a little spicy mama.
Over the past 9 months, my Foster Mum has been working closely with me to soften me up and teach me to learn to trust people and enjoy the fabulous, warm indoor life! I still have a way to go, but I have come so far already. I will just need a home with someone who is willing to help me continue my journey and blossom into the sweet girl I desire to be. So let’s find me the perfect furever home!
My Foster Mum tells me she is incredibly proud of me, she loves watching me thrive. When I came into care, although I am incredibly tiny; I was ferocious. I had zero trust for any person (but who would blame me right?!) and I would stay in the cat tree cave all day, everyday.
If you came too close to me, I’ll admit, I would give you a bit of a fright and a big hiss. Now as a free-roaming indoor foster kitty, I still flinch a little, and will run if there are loud noises or quick movements.
I no longer hide, I want to be out in the main living area with everyone else and am just curious about what is going on… and don’t want to experience FOMO. 😹
I am still being patted with the back scratcher, and sometimes receive pats on my nose when my Foster Mum is giving me treats. Other than that… I’m still not ready to be touched, but eventually and with further work, I will be.
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
In my foster home, there are a lot of resident cats and foster cats. I am still incredibly shy, but I like to follow and sniff the fellow cats and try to join in the shenanigans.
Because of my continuing journey to house cat and whilst I am curious of the other cats in my foster home, I feel I would need to go to a pet free home and preferably no children or at least older children. Homes with other animals and small children will be way too overwhelming for me.
Likes / Dislikes
So one thing that my Foster Mum has worked out that I adore (and also helps with me coming out of my shell), are sachets of Dine Creamy Treats! Yummm!! I will come out of any hidey hole, and walk right up to my mum to get even just a smidge of Creamy Treat.
The other love of my life are heaters…. I love stretching out in front of the heater.
At the moment, I dislike being chased by the other cats in the house, and also fast movements by people.
My PURR-fect home would be a very special type of home. I really need a home that want to take in a kitty that really deserves love and care. I will need someone that wants to put the time and energy into working with me to trust them and love them back. They would need to exercise patience, and perseverance… And if they do, I assure you wholeheartedly that it would be so incredibly rewarding for us both.
