About Troy
Troy is a super nervous boy. He needs gentle calm handling with people experienced with fear aggression. He is very barky and can bare his teeth if he is uncomfortable.
He is very protective of his home and barks when visitors come. He is social with small dogs though can be bossy.
He is nervous walking on lead. It is foreign to him. He has loads of energy and loves doing zoomies and is very affectionate with people he trusts. Having working breed in him he is very smart and learns very quickly.
Troy prefers women and would be most comfortable in a female household. He needs a family committed to visiting him a few times to build a relationship. He has a short coat and weighs 8.7kg.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Suit Part Time Worker: Copes alone for short periods, with training possibly longer but presently does need someone home part of the time.
NEEDS RESCUE EXPERIENCE: Many people grow up with, or own a dog who has had no bad experiences in life. A dog who is confident and well rounded. However, many rescue dogs have not been as lucky in their lives.
These dogs need someone with previous rescue experience and an in depth understanding of and experience in building relationships with these kinds of dogs.
Medical notes
He comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
