About Arnold/ Pretzel
HEY ARNOLD! *cue theme music* Hi folks, I'm Arnold. While I don't have a football head, I'm still a beautiful young boy who loves to scout my surroundings-I will sniff almost everything (and may sample some plants). I'm a very friendly and smart boy-I know how to sit for my food (my foster mum is working on the 'stay' but I'm less interested in that-give me my food!). I'm pretty laid-back, and my favourite toys are super easy to get-ping pong balls and pipe-cleaners! I will bat those suckers around until the cows come home.
It took me a little bit to settle in, but now I can't get enough of my foster mum! I love to greet her when she gets home from work and love to receive pats and scritches. If you sit down, your lap is mine! I will fall asleep purring, and you might be lucky enough to hear my 'sleep chirps'.
Health Issues
Arnold is suspected of having a condition called Juvenile Gingivitis, an inflammation of the gums which is painful, and can lead to infections and more severe dental disease. Many cats will grow out of this issue before approximately 2 years of age, however some will have the condition for life.
Arnold has been exposed to Feline Coronovirus (FCoV) and has positive titres for this virus. Due to the virus being highly contagious, to limit the spread it is important that he remains in a single-cat household, and should be kept indoors. It is important to note that Feline Coronavirus is NOT the same as the human Coronavirus. This virus has been prevalent within cats for many decades and is NOT transmissible to humans.
Arnold has been treated for ringworm by the Cat Haven shelter and veterinary team. After several weeks of medical therapy, we have assessed him and determined that the ringworm lesions are resolved and that he has recovered from this disease.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
