About Atlas
Atlas is a happy friendly but excitable teenager. He does not like to sit still. He is very sweet and friendly toward kids but can occasionally be jumpy. He suits kids 5+yo.
Out walking he pulls on lead and loves to jog. He will lunge playfully at other dogs. He loves his treats but they need to be put close to his mouth. He has a congenital condition where the cornea of eye has not developed properly all the little washers in the cornea are not functioning to keep it clear and hence the cloudiness you see. He sits on command.
Walkers say: “Friendly dog, high energy. Lunged playfully at other dogs, not aggressive” "energetic dog and a joy to walk". “Gorgeous boy. Walked mostly on loose lead. Would stop after for cuddles. Took treats gently and did sit sometimes”, “Liked squeaky toys” He has a smooth coat and weighs 16.5kg
Good with Kids: Shown to be good with kids in the controlled environment of the Shelter.
He comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet.
Suit Part Time Worker: Copes alone for short periods, with training possibly longer but presently does need someone home part of the time
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.

Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
