About Athena
Athena is an Australian cross Kelpie who is an 11 month old puppy.
In Athena's short life she has had one home, been in foster care twice then surrendered after an unsuccessful trial. Athena's trial was unsuccessful due to inability to leave the cats alone and her high needs.
It's stating the obvious but Athena has had a horrid start to life so we are looking for someone who can be 100% committed to her needs. Athena requires training, exercise, time and patience.
Athena has been an only dog and has not been well socialised so her ability to interact with other dogs is very limited and when out on a walk she will react to other dogs.
Athena is an inside and outside dog, at night she is inside. Athena still needs some assistance with toilet training. She travels well and loves to be around her people. Athena loves attention.
Athena would greatly benefit from training and the socialisation that goes along with training. She is a Kelpie and as such requires stimulation and regular exercise and activities. Athena, like most puppies chews, even though she has her own toys, she likes your items better!
Athena is still very much a pup and learning so her new home must be able to accommodate that. To date she has had little time, attention and training and has been moved through various homes. She deserves to have her own family to give her the attention and love she deserves.
Please only show your interest if you would be 100% committed to giving Athena the best, new start to life that she deserves.
Please note we have recently decided that trials and adoptions will only take place in metropolitan Adelaide and surrounding suburbs. We do not accept applications from people in regional areas as we cannot provide support at such a distance. If you are unsure if you are considered metropolitan Adelaide and/or surrounding suburbs, please contact us prior to filling in this application form.
