About Willow
Willow is a very affectionate puppy who just loves people. Secure fencing is amust for her. Our trainer says "Very sweet and friendly but scared of noisy children behaviour. She is very sensitive and needs to be handled gently. She suits 12+yo children. She takes a long time to trust if she becomes scared or worried." Willow is now playing well with active friendly dogs. She is not suitable with cats or pocket pets.
Walkers say: “Very sweet girl and very quiet. Took some encouragement past other dogs but not barking aggressive etc.” , “ Requires a lot of reassurance. Likes to explore and will pull when something interests her. Very sweet! Listens to commands” Can be a bit scared of other dogs", "Sweet dog, super excited, full of life. "Needs strong walker, but great." She has a smooth coat and weighs 19.5kg. .
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Good with Kids: Shown to be good with kids in the controlled environment of the Shelter.
Suit Part Time Worker: Copes alone for short periods, with training possibly longer but presently does need someone home part of the time
NEEDS RESCUE EXPERIENCE: Many people grow up with, or own a dog who has had no bad experiences in life. A dog who is confident and well rounded. However, many rescue dogs have not been as lucky in their lives.
These dogs need someone with previous rescue experience and an in depth understanding of and experience in building relationships with these kinds of dogs.
Medical notes
She comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
