AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION THROUGH BE THE CHANGE ANIMAL SHELTER INC- introducing “Levi” an 11 year old cocker spaniel male. He was a dearly loved member of a family but due to another dog in the household instigating fights against Levi he is looking for a new home. He might look cute and cuddly but he has attitude you see Levi is a resource guarder. It’s a behaviour that has worked for him and been reinforced his entire life and he is nervous about losing what he considers “valuable”. We are working with him on these behaviours to improve the emotional connection however it is likely a behaviour he will exhibit for life. Levi is also scared of the dark so MUST stay in his crate to sleep as things moving about in the dark are an absolute trigger for him. No children please. Levi is good with cats. He is good with other dogs however we feel that he wouldn’t like to live with and constantly compete with another dog. He prefers men over women. Ideally Levi would be bested suited to an older bachelor who will be willing to work with Levi and accommodate his quirks.
