About Black Jack
MHi Friends! My name is Black Jack, & I am 1 and a half years young! I'm not a gambler but would like to bet that once you get to know me I will win your heart! Gazing into my eyes will tell you that there is so much soul wrapped up in this handsome package and I have so much love to give to someone who will take their time & be patient with me.
Once you get to know me I'll show you that I can be playful and that I quite like chasing ping pong balls and stick toys around. I also love playing chase with my foster cat sister - we could chase each other round the house all day (and we often do!). I also like to chill & relax, really do like pats & oh my gosh do I love an ear massage! Once I feel comfortable I still might not sit on your lap but I'll always be right there on the couch next to you.
I don't want to brag or anything but as well as being sweet & handsome I'm also quite intelligent. I've even learnt how to sit to get my evening meal! Don't get me wrong, I'll make sure you know it's time for dinner but I will be very gentlemanly on its arrival! In case you couldn't guess I am very treat & food motivated - creamy treats are a sure-fire way to my heart!
My foster home has fostered other cats whilst I've been here & I have really enjoyed their company so if you already have a feline companion, with a nice slow introduction maybe I could make another friend?
My journey since I came to Cat Haven hasn't been a straightforward one as I've had some health issues along the way (please read to the end!). I came to my foster home because I wasn't coping at the shelter despite the excellent care I received there. I was very scared but I made great progress right away. Unfortunately I had an accident & my foster family noticed that I couldn't stand on my back legs & was dragging them to get around. The incredible vets at Cat Haven never gave up on me as we tried multiple medications & tests to find out what was wrong. Eventually we found a medication that worked and if you didn't know the above you would almost not be able to tell that there had been something wrong at all. I also don't need the medication at all anymore!
I'm looking for a quiet, mature home as I will take some time to come out of my shell. I'll also need to be inside only as it's a lot safer for me.
Please come to meet me at my foster home in Quinn's Rocks to hear more about my story and to see what a sweet boy I am.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
