About Mia
Unemployed senior cat look for a new job. Mia was adopted from Cat Haven just over 2 years ago and became the entertainment officer for the residents in an aged care facility. She was suited to this role as she loves all people and company and she especially provided much joy to one male resident who she "adopted". After a change of management she was returned to Cat Haven in May 2021 to seek a new home where she can utilize her "people" skills. In the meantime she is helping her Foster Mum with her office work.
I am a small 12 year old blue-cream torti who loves people and wants company and lots of pats and has a healthy appetite without being fussy about food. I also have immaculate bathroom habits. As I am over 10years old, I had a vet check including blood tests before being put up for adoption and am very healthy except for a mild heart murmur (grade 2) which doesn't require any treatment. I have also had all my teeth out some time in the past but this doesn't affect my eating habits, though I have a preference for wet food but still eat biscuits.
My foster mum says that I have a friendly nature and will easily adapt to a new home without any other pets as I purr at all people and hiss at the resident cats as soon as I sight them, even though they just stare back at me.
Mia has obviously been well-cared for in her last home as she is vaccinated until April 2022, registered with her former council until 31 Oct 2021 and even has a collar with a Tile - which is a GPS tracking device - in case she went missing. Not that she was likely to wander as she loves company and prefers to stay around humans.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
