About Roxy
Roxy is a gorgeous loving energetic pocket rocket a very playful young girl.
Roxy began her race career at the start of this year and had a win and a second from her first two starts but with a racing weight of 22Kilos, mixing with heavier dogs caused her premature end to racing, having been pushed into the side fence on her fourth start and failing to complete in her fifth and final race. But one could say this could have been a blessing as the early retirement meant a quicker transition into pet life.
On entry to foster care, Roxy was a shy little girl but within a week of daily brushing she had shed her old kennel coat and with a healthy appetite she had gained almost 2 kilos and is looking very pretty and healthy, now with this new found zest, Roxy has become a very confident girl always playing with toys and trying to get the other pet greys to join in her games.
Roxy has developed into a delightful girl, very affectionate and is one of the first greeters in the morning, loves her food, is easy to leash walk and enjoys her car rides, she is clean in the house and will let you know when she needs to go outside.
Being young, Roxy would be happiest with some company during the day, either of another dog or of a full or part time stay at home person. We feel she would best be suited to an active home with teenage kids or young adults and a good size yard to run around in.
Roxy is not cat tolerant
We do not adopt dogs to live in apartments, some Townhouses would be considered.
