About Wendy
Hi, I'm Wendy...I'm the prettiest cat of them all! When I look in the mirror (which is a lot, and hard to resist when you're as gorgeous as me) I meow approvingly. I love to look in the mirror every morning when my Foster Mum opens the curtains.
Once I can drag my foster Mumma out of bed (she needs a little help, I often sit on her chest and purr away at her and gently paw at her face to make sure she doesn't go back to sleep), then it's PLAY TIME! I love playing! I'm about one year old, but I sure still have all the energy of a kitten! I love everything, the tunnel, the squeaking mouse, the fishing rod, the boomerang, the ping pongs...EVERYTHING! I even like launching myself off the chairs onto the toys and back onto the sofas much to my foster Mumma's dismay! No sofa is safe in my room!
I am so friendly, and like a cuddle and a stroke and don't mind being picked up and hugged. Sometimes I'll share the affection and start licking and nibbling at you to clean you up!
I generally sit on the back of the sofa, as from there I can see everything that's going on, but I have been known to come down and sit on my Foster Mumma's lap when she's exhausted from all the playing and wants a rest! Sometimes, when Foster Mumma is working, I'll curl up on the cushion on the floor next to her and listen to her type away.
I'm a little nervous when new people come into the house and will hide away - especially with men. However, given time I'll come out and have a nosey at them from a distance, but once I start to get to know them I'm just as friendly with them.
I'm pretty good at night times - no zoomies from me. I like to curl up at the bottom of the bed next to Foster Mumma's feet, and sometimes I'll sneak up for pets in the night, but if Mumma's sleeping then I just go away again (I suspect sometimes Mumma is pretending to sleep). When it gets light, I like to go onto the windowsill to watch the world go by until Mumma wakes up.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
