About Peppy
Hello I am Mr Peppy, the sweetest old man. I was surrendered by my previous owners who couldn't look after me anymore. I have been described as a couch potato, and I would happily just watch TV with you all day. Can you please give me the love and care than an old man like me needs?
Peppy is a very sweet, but very timid cat. When I first started fostering him he was pretty scared, and didn't really want anything to do with me for a few days, which he spent hiding under a cupboard (he reminded me of a little shadow). After that he started wanting pats, but he was still pretty hesitant. After about a week he was comfortable with me, purring and wanting attention, but every time I would stand up, or move towards him he would run and hide.
The last few days he has started to explore the house after the sun went down, and when he was comfortable with that he started to explore during the day. I've had him for about 1.5 weeks now and today is the first day he has started really wanting to play with toys.
Once he gets to know you he is very affectionate. He loves getting pats, is very talkative and loves digging in his litter tray and using the scratchers on his cat tree. He would be very happy being a lap cat I think, and he appears to have a penchant for pizza based on how much he was begging for some the other night when I had one for dinner (I didn't give him any..).
I think he would do well with older, quieter adults. He's still very unsure around my friends and goes and hides when they come over, and I think he wouldn't be very comfortable in a home with young children. If you'd like to come and visit him, I think he will probably not be very responsive, as he is very timid around new people until he gets to know you. I have videos and photos I can show you though.
He's pretty low maintenance, and is really fun to have around. He's also a very handsome cat, he has amazing green eyes!
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
