About Daisy
Daisy is a beautiful 2 year old pedigree harlequin great dane. She is a smaller & finer type of dane. She is approx 32 inches to the shoulder and would weigh approx 40-50 kgs. She loves zoomies and used to go to dog parks weekly with her previous owner. Daisy has come into foster care with great dane rescue due to her owners not being able to manage her as well as their new human baby. She is house trained and is well behaved in the home and is happy to settle on her bed or have a play with you. Daisy is fine living on her own or with another dog, if she lives with another dog they must have similar energy levels to her as she loves to play and that would irritate a more relaxed dog. She has learned to walk well on the lead and enjoys her walks. We haven't taken her off lead simply because we don't have fenced off lead parks in our area. Brought up with cats should see her as cat safe, however in foster care we don't have cats to test this with. So she sounds perfect right? daisy's only down side is that she is a more nervy type of dog, she's not super confident so this means she will bark at noises that worry her or when she feels stressed. She has only just come into foster care but has already reduced this behaviour so we believe it will reduce even further with training, boundaries and the understanding of how to deal with a dog with anxiety as she will be a work in progress. Update: daisy was recently re-homed to a farm in qld where she settled in beautifuly and the anxiety and barking dissapeared, however the family has seperated and daisy has come back to us in sydney. She is most suited to property or farm living, suburban living does not seem to agree with her. She is ok with horses and cattle. Preference will be given to farm homes. Interstate adoption: is only possible if you are prepared to come meet her and then pick her up - she will not be flown
