About Brave Boy
Hi, I am shy young boy found wandering in the streets scared and lost. I'm here now at Cat Haven looking for a home, away from all the dangers of the streets!
Bon Jour! Ok, I don't actually speak French but I DO bare a striking resemblance to the famous Tournee du Chat Noir poster. I have such soft fluffy black fur and luminous yellow eyes, in fact, when I first came to my foster home I was so shy that I hid in my crate for a full day and all my foster mum could see was my beautiful big eyes (they made her think of the Cheshire Cat, the way they seemed to be floating in the dark!)
You see, "Brave Boy" is an aspirational name I'm working up to, I'm really quite timid. I was rescued from street-life and I'm still learning who I can trust and relax around. I'm making great progress though. I still spend a lot of time tucked away in a corner but I've stopped hissing whenever someone comes close and I've discovered that I really love a good chin scratch.
The foster home I'm in has another cat who I am very interested in making friends with. Every time she comes into the room, I make a friendly trilling noise and come out to see her. The past few nights the two of us have played games together, racing around the house and sleeping near each other.
There is a boisterous dog in my foster home who I haven't really met yet as I find him a bit scary at the moment so I think I might be better suited to a home with just another cat. There are children in my foster home and I have let them pat me occasionally.
I enjoy wet food in the morning and biscuits otherwise. I'm very good at using my litter box. I enjoy catching a feather on a string but mostly from under the bed, I'm not too interested in chasing the ball though that may change.
My foster mum is sure that in a home with another friendly cat I could really finish coming out of my shell and be a playful and friendly young man.
If you're interested in meeting me, I'm being fostered in Kardinya.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
