About Maahi *On Trial*
Maahi is our stunning chocolate beauty! Maahi was recently surrendered to our care as her previous owners circumstances had changed. That's where Maahi's sad story ends and her new life begins! This beautiful girl has made a total transformation in such a short time and I'm proud to say she is a beautiful bun with a loving, gentle sole and a very cheeky and sometimes sassy personality. Maahi hasn't been well handled and does require some ongoing support to help her understand she can trust humans again, that she is in a safe place and most importantly she is LOVED! Maahi will tolerate some smoochie cheek kisses and cuddles but like most rabbits, she does prefer all 4 paws on the floor - Especially if there is head pats and ear scratches at the ready!
Maahi - Hindi for LOVE (meaning)
Maahi arrived underweight but has been enjoying a wide variety of veggies, herbs and some fruit as a treat. Maahi does prefer her Science Selective pellets and the pellets have really helped Maahi with her overall body condition and especially her coat. Maahi LOVES her oaten hay and is often found in her tray stuffing her face with long strands of fresh oaten hay. Maahi does love her dried kiwi and apple treats too :)
Maahi is just over 12 months old and she has a beautiful short chocolate coat with cream and brown markings on her face and belly. Maahi is a small size dwarf lop cross 1.6kg in weight. A weekly brush is all that's needed to maintain her coat and 2-3 times a week during a heavy moult. Yes, she has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped by The Unusual Pet Vets.
Maahi has been a single bun her entire life, there might be potential for her to be bonded to a desexed male of similar size and age but we expect Maahi will thrive being a single spoilt bunny with plenty of love in her life. We are looking for a lovely forever home for Maahi and know the right person or family is out there for her. Ideally, we would be looking for a person or family where Maahi would be indoors (pen setup) with supervised outdoor time and be apart of everyday living and routine.
Maahi's adoption fee is $185 which includes her desexing, vaccination and microchip at The Unusual Pet Vets.
Medical notes
Maahi has been thoroughly vet checked by The Unusual Pet Vets. No medical conditions or concerns noted.
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view our beautiful rabbits. We love them all and know you will too!
If you would like to know more about our rescue, the rabbits we have in care or if you are considering adopting one of our precious bunnies - Please contact us via phone or email. After our chat, if it sounds like you might have a suitable home we will email you through a application form to fill in (step 1).
Once we have received your forms, we will then arrange a time for you to meet our rescue rabbit/rabbits (step 2). On occasions (at our discretion) we may organise a house check to ensure that your indoor rabbit setup is safe, secure and in the long term the rabbit will be happy! An adoption fee is paid if you decide you would like to take the rabbit on trial, this is held with us whilst the rabbit is on trial in your home. The trial period is for 2 weeks but this is flexible (step 3). If anytime during the trial you are certain your new family member is going to stay, the decision is made final and we process the adoption and change the microchip details - This makes the adoption official! (step 4). On the other hand, if you have a change of mind or circumstance we ask you to contact us as soon as possible so we can make immediate arrangements for their return to the rescue, the adoption fee is refundable within the trial period.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
