About Mila
This beautiful girl has come a long way! Rescued from the streets while pregnant she needed a nice safe home! She was very fearful when she first came into care, hissing, stomping etc. But after about only 1 month, she was sniffing my hand and coming closer. Curious and inquisitive she wanted to get to know me. Shortly after offering hand sniffs, she carefully put out her head to nudge my hand. These nudges turned into me patting her head and eventually stroking her down her back. She shows so many signs of wanting affection and wanting to be close to people. It is clear that she has a lot of love to give. She just didn’t know where and how to release it and begun learning how to do so. She is very special with her forgiving nature despite her background of growing up on the streets. Mila loves to relax when she feels safe and at home. She will talk to you, when she’s hungry, wants love or is just happy.
-
Mila was a street cat and heavily pregnant when she was trapped and made her way to rescue in an effort to halt breeding and reduce wild cat populations, with the intention of TNR-ing mums or finding a suitable placement as a barn cat due to her initially spicy disposition.
However, because Mila is white, life outdoors with sun exposure is far less than ideal, so her foster carer has done lots of work gaining her trust. She will come up for a sniff and even tolerate a pet from her foster mum now.
First preference to a kitten home will go to somebody who is prepared to adopt a Arabella, Luna or Leela with their mum, to help bridge the gap and help mum thrive in her new home.
Do you have a quiet home where Mila and one of her babies can continue to gain trust? We would love to hear from you!
