About Raest
Hi folks,
my official Cat Haven name is Raest but my foster mum calls me Gunther, it's a bit easier to pronounce. I am an old, big and very affectionate man who was found wandering around the streets by my own. Luckily a nice couple took me to Cat Haven and I am very glad that I am staying in my foster home at the moment because I am clearly used to the life as a house cat.
As I mentioned, I am very affectionate and love to follow my foster mum around the house during the day and at night I like to hang out with her on the couch and sleep next to her on the bed. Due to my age I am not soo playful anymore, I usually prefer to snooze most of the day but from time to time I run around and play with a toy on a string.
I am on a special diet due to renal failure so it's important that my new family keeps me on this diet for the rest of my life to slow down the disease. But even with this disease I am a happy boy with a lot of love to give and would love to live my final years in a quiet and loving home. I tolerate other cats but I don't think I really need them to be happy because I clearly prefer human company. Do you have a big heart for me and will give me the best life in my final years?
Meet me in my foster home in West Perth!
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
