About Cinder
Do you want an adult cat who is smaller than some teens and who has retained the energy and lots of behaviours of a kitten? Then I'm your girl!!
I am a tiny 1 year old with a shiny black coat, boundless energy and a very healthy appetite. I love playing with things and don't need fancy toys as I find everyday objects to swat around. I also have immaculate bathroom habits.
I came into foster as I am a very timid girl and the noise and bustle at Cat Haven was too scary for me. I was found as a stray and so still getting used to the love of humans.
I am now doing very well in a quiet household. I hissed at my foster mum for the first 6 hours but I never once tried to swipe or bite and I let her stroke me. After 3 days I was pleased to come out of isolation to explore the whole house and follow around the resident cats who have helped me come out of my shell. I also spend time next to the other foster cat who is in a dog crate while recovering from a badly broken leg. So you see that I have an altruistic purrsonality.
I have also gradually become closer to my foster mum and after 25 days I liked to be patted and picked up at meal times before I devoured my food. The rest of the time I stayed in the same rooms as the other cats or my foster mum but often just out of her reach or I peeked at her around doorways. Then I started to come up for a quick hand sniff or cheek rub if she was sitting. Every day I was getting bolder and bolder. Then lockdown came and I decided that I wasn't a scaredy cat anymore and I wanted lots of cheek rubs, pats and cuddles and even got up on the bed for part of the night.
My foster mum says that I have a sweet nature and she thinks I would be best suited to a quiet household without kids or dogs. However having a friendly cat (or two or three) would definitely help me to learn the ropes of my furrever home and I would absolutely love their company. If you don't already have a resident cat, perhaps you could adopt another cat or kitten at the same time as me?
If you think that you are a good match then come and visit at my foster home in Cottesloe.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
