On Hold
A former street cat, Chestnut is looking for a new home because the humans who were planning to trap/desex/release him just couldn't let this sweet boy go back to his colony. He's learning how toys work, and trying to make friends with the other cats in his foster home. Chestnut is content to just chill out and accept all the cuddles you want to give him - and then some (when you try to pull your hand back, he tends to tap it to remind you he's not done yet, thank you very much). Even when it's time for a trip to the vet, he may run and hide when he sees the carrier, but he does not get aggressive. If you're looking for a laidback roommate, message us to arrange an interview with this lovely smoochy boy.
Chestnut has tested negative for FIV
Interested adopters should contact us through PetRescue or our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/SydneyCatRescues/). We will ask you to fill out a basic information form and arrange a video interview, which may be followed by an in-person interview. We find that many cats act differently around strangers, so a video interview lets you see the cat as they really are.
