About Poppy
PURSONALITY TRAITS
Oh hi there! I'm Poppy the cat, a total cruiser and a bit of a smoochie girl. I'm 7 years old and would love to find my furr-ever home soon so that I can finally settle down.
I love to get cuddles and pats and to be around people but I still like my personal space, I'm not a lap cat but I'll happily set next to you on your desk while you work or on the top of the couch while you relax.
I'm very easy going and tolerant but I'm not too fond of other animals. I was surrendered because I wasn't getting on with the other cats in the household so I need a to be the only feline in my new home. I also need a home where I can minimise my exposure to the sun so that my pale features are protected.
I'd love a quiet home with a loving family who still can understand and respect my personal space.
Health Issues
Poppy has previously had an episode of lower urinary tract disease. Poppy has also displayed during her time at Cat Haven some evidence of toileting inappropriately, such as toileting on bedding or outside the litter tray. The urine has been checked to rule out medical concerns, and it is likely that this behaviour is associated with stress and/or anxiety. It is possible that this behaviour will continue during the transition to your new home, and we cannot rule out that it may be an ongoing issue. While we hope that this behaviour will settle as your new family member settles into your home.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
