NAME: Carlos

BEFORE SAFE ESPERANCE: Came to SAFE Esperance from the pound.

ASSETS: Friendly, confident, affectionate and has a huge character! He is a lovely, cheeky boy.

FAVOURITE THINGS: He loves to play with ping pong balls and loves affection, he just laps it up. He's not a lap cat but will happily sit near you.

OTHER INFO: Carlos has FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus. FIV is not as scary as it sounds, it just means that his vaccinations will need to kept up to date and Carlos will need good quality food and regular annual health checks at time of vaccination. He will need to be an inside cat or have access to a secure outside cat run. As long as he's well looked after he should live a long and happy life. Carlos is litter trained and very clean. He is flea-treated wormed, microchipped and desexed. Due to his beautiful longish fur he will need some regular brushing to keep him looking wonderful and to prevent painful knots. FIV is not transmissible to humans or others species.

OTHER ANIMALS: Carlos has shared his space with another FIV+ cat but would prefer to be an only cat. He would be able to live with a cat-friendly dog after gentle introduction at his own pace.

IDEAL HOME: Carlos would be suited to most homes that will treat him gently and give him plenty of love. He will need to be kept as an indoor only cat or preferably have access to a secure outdoor run.
