Narla is a very energetic and excitable young girl with a lot of love to give! She is trying hard to learn the basics of family living and what she lacks in expertise she more than makes up for with enthusiasm!
She already knows sit, drop, look and touch. She has great recall and will already wait patiently for her food. She is currently working on extending her stay/place training and learning some lead manners. She has responded well to walking at heel off-lead but still finds the lead a challenge at this stage. Narla is highly food motivated and eager to both learn and please so training is a pleasure with this girl. She has been having some fun getting to do some nose work and adores her kong treat dispenser for added stimulation.
Narla currently lives with 3 other dogs at her foster home, both larger and smaller than her. She is eager but unsocialised and can need some help with boundaries initially, but adores her doggy companions. Tug-of-war, chasey and bitey face seem to be her favourites as well as any activity that involves water, but no soap! She is learning pack etiquette quickly and will definitely need a balanced and playful friend in her forever home.
Narla adores food of almost any description but chicken seems to be her favourite. Narla does need to be fed separately from other dogs. She has no reaction to people with food but can get snappy with other dogs. She is already showing a lot of progress in this area so as long as boundaries are in place it won't be an issue.
Narla is gaining confidence daily but can still be quite timid with males initially. With patience and understanding she comes around and is showing amazing progress with this too! She really is a very special girl!
Narla is highly energetic and does have quite a strong prey drive so a home without cats or pocket pets would be needed.
Narla is currently living with four young children (12, 10, 8 and 2yrs) in her foster home. She is amazingly patient and gentle with them for such an excitable girl. A home with older children would be recommended as she can still get a little excitable at times.
Narla is currently an inside/outside dog and absolutely loves hanging with her people. She will stay outside if asked but if you're home her heart will be happiest by your side (or on your lap!). Narla currently sleeps beside her carer's bed but will sneak in for a cuddle if allowed.
Narla will need a home with a decent sized yard and 6ft minimum fencing to cater to her size and energy levels. She will jump if left alone but settles with a doggy friend until your return. Her ideal family would need to have time and patience to give. She needs solid boundaries and continued training to help her achieve her best. She is still very much leaning but has already come so far! She may steal your socks as quickly as your heart but she will certainly make you smile doing it!
