Her name is Trouble (not a very nice connotation) as she is no problem at all.. She is a beautiful, loving and relaxed middle aged girl. Never an issue and will go with the flow. Trouble has lived her whole life with a younger couple and eventually had a human baby who she had no problems living with either. She enjoys a cuddle, she likes sitting on the sofa next to you, she has never shown any aggressiion or snappy behaviour. She is gentle, kind and sincere. I would say adaptable and resilient. Possibly over time, she may become more cuddly and be a nap sitter although this will take time.
She was bought from a reputable breeder in Glen Waverley @ 6 weeks, the husband thought it was funny to call her Trouble and they kept the name. Arrrggh, cats can respond definately to a name change if it is similar, this has proved successful in the past. So a new name and a new life would be perfect for her!.
She has never had other cats or dogs living - preferably a dog I would think be most suited. Cats are hard to re-introduce into new homes if the resident cats personality type clash. SO no others cats please as it will be stressful enough being rehomed and she is really just needing one on one attention at this stage.
Trouble loves being outside (not roaming however she rolls around on the concrete) likes to smell the fresh air and listen to the birds, not interested in getting them but just being her beautiful self) She has put on a little bit more weight over winter so a larger area to move around would be good, more intellectual interaction (ie play sticks, laser pointer) are really effective for getting cats to become more active.
Apartment living (without an enclosed outdoor space) WOULD NOT SUIT HER! Older human family members would be ok, not little toddlers running around (they can be loud and unpredictable) so please understand why this is important.
She has just been shaved coming into summer so she looks more like a lion now. She does suffer a little in the heat with the full coat hence why this is done. Throughout the winter months, she grows beautifully and it just needs to be maintained weekly with a brush out.
Medical notes
The ADOPTION Fee - This is to cover the yearly F3 vaccination (March 2020 a little over due to covid restrictions) and a Full Blood Test Done. A dental check will be given as well to determine her health currently.
I always suggest and encourage a "trial period" of at least minimum of 2 WEEKS which is a fair and reasonable time frame to allow everyone to integrate slowly and work out whether the new addition is the right decision. Unless obviously the cat is so unhappy, you need to contact myself asap and I will either assist in any issues that have arose and move forward or I will ask for the changeover to happen much quicker. I only want both new owner and new kitty to be happy.
In the past, I have had clients who after 2 to 3 days want to return cat/dog. It is not an realistic or fair to determine or make that decision so quickly. The upheaval emotionally and mentally, the locality of travel (often 1/2 hours away) and the hard work behind the scenes needs to be respected and made very clear. We all need to be on the same page.
I am hoping that the successful applicant or family, enjoy such a lovely and sweet natured girl who only experience happy and loving days ahead.. 💗💚💜
Thanks for reading Trouble's story.
Regards
Jodie 😊
