About Bob
Introducing adorable Bob!
Gorgeous Bob is a Border Collie x Kelpie and is just under 12 months old. He has had a pretty rough start to life and is definitely due for his humans to come and find him!
Bob is a typical bouncy pup who would benefit from being in a home where his training will continue. He has just graduated from an intensive training program and his new found confidence is seeing him ready to take on the world! A follow up training session will be provided in his new home to cement and reinforce his new learnings and to equip his new humans with the tools needed to ensure Bob transitions perfectly into his new home and family.
Bob is extremely active and needs a home where he will have routine and structure with lots of enrichment and stimulation. Ideally a family who is happy to do activities such as agility or flyball etc to provide Bob with the active life he needs.
Although Bob has come such a long way in his training, this needs to be reinforced in his new home therefore he will only be adopted to a family who understands this and has the time and ability to train and guide this special little man. He is very much still learning. He can be a little unsure around new dogs and humans so needs some patience as he builds his confidence in new surroundings. .
We would recommend that Bob goes to a home without cats. He is fine with other dogs after proper introductions however he is very high energy and would be best suited to dogs that are his size or larger who can keep up with his crazy antics! A large backyard or property is an absolute must!
Bob is suited to being with kids who are a little older.
Bob is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with all preventatives while in care
If you are interested in adopting Bob, please send through an adoption enquiry and we will email you back as soon as possible with an adoption application form to complete
*Please note: we will require an adoption application form to be completed before a meet and greet will be scheduled*
Adoption details
An application form MUST be completed in full before any meet and greets are to take place
Approved applicants will be contacted and invited for a 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer present. Applicants must bring their current dog along to the meet and greet if meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure everyone gets along before commencing adoption - therefore we do not facilitate interstate adoptions at this time. We would like as many household members as possible to be available for the meet and greet, again, to determine that the animal and humans are the best possible fit.
Please note: The animal MUST NOT be taken on the day of the meet and greet unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 2 hr round trip). If a prior arrangement is made, an Adoption Contract must be signed in full and payment must be cleared in the rescues bank account before collection of the pet will be permitted.
A yard check will then be completed to ensure the home is the best possible fit for the animal before approval will be considered. In cases where potential adopters may live more than 2 hours away, yard photos of all outdoor areas will suffice
A 14 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from the foster carer. If for any reason the animal needs to be returned to the rescue organisation, the adoption fee minus a $50 non-refundable deposit will be refunded to you via bank transfer if the animal is returned within the 14 day trial period. If the animal is returned after the trial period, no refund will be made.
Adoption is finalized after 14 days and paperwork, including the Microchip Change of Ownership form, is then sent via email.
FLAR animals will be desexed before adoption and this is NON NEGOTIABLE.
ANIMALS UNDER 6 MONTHS OF AGE:
Animals who are under 6 months old at the time of adoption will be desexed at a later date with these costs included in the adoption fee payable at the time of adoption.
A desexing agreement must be signed at time of adoption and a FULLY REFUNDABLE $200 DEPOSIT IN ADDITION TO THE ADVERTISED ADOPTION FEE MUST be paid in full at the time of adoption. This will then be refunded to your nominated account AFTER you have presented the animal to our APPROVED vet for desexing. Deposits will be returned once the animal has been desexed and not prior. You will be contacted once the animal reaches 6 months of age by a representative from the rescue advising you of appointment details. Bookings for desexing are NOT to be made by adopters without prior approval from the rescue.
