About Yugo
PURSONALITY TRAITS
Hi I'm Yugo! I have been waiting for you to find me for almost a year! But don't worry, I have been using my time in my foster home to slowly learn that humans aren't so scary. I may be timid and it takes a while for me to be my bravest self but I have learnt that I absolutely love belly rubs and cuddles with the humans I can trust!
I may not be the instant lap cat you came here thinking you wanted... but the rewarding feeling you will get from gaining my trust and receiving all my love makes me the cat you need!
I love other cats so if you have a cat that needs a friend, I can be that friend! My favourite games are chasey, small object soccer and suprise pounce! I am even happy to share my food and litter box.
My foster mum thinks I am very good at talking, cuddling, coming when called and sleeping all night on her bed.
When I came to Cat Haven, I found out I was FIV+. This was very scary to me at first until I learnt more and more about it. Did you know it is only transferred to cats through a bite that draws blood? CH have so much information on FiV+ cats that now it does not seem so scary so please ask them if you have any questions.
I really can't wait to meet you and to finally find my forever home! Come visit me at my foster home in Hammond Park.
Health Issues
Yugo has a small chip in his lower right canine that was present when he came to the shelter. Our veterinarians have carefully assessed this chip and no further treatment is currently required. Yugo is still requiring veterinary treatment from Cat Haven and requires a revisit for a Dental Procedure between April-September 2021.
Yugo has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). FIV is a retrovirus that can compromise the immune system, spread by fighting and deep penetrating wounds. He should lead a normal life despite this diagnosis, but there are a few special considerations that need to be made in regards to his health and well-being long term. These include being an inside only cat; slow and careful introduction to other cats; and annual vaccinations and health checks.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
