About Shamira / Mochi
This is Shamira. She came into foster as a scared little girl, she was terrified of absolutely everything, every sound, every movement. She would meow at night as all she ever saw was humans coming in to feed her. After a few weeks, I noticed my resident cat meowing outside her door and she would meow back. Her whole life until now was around other cats so as soon as my resident cats were introduced to her she blossomed.
She flourished with confidence when around my cats. She will eat, sleep and play with them, almost to the point where you would forget she was ever undomesticated.
Although, she may not ever be a lap cat or a cat that will ever be confident enough to express affection, she has come so far in her rehabilitation processes, that I believe she will only continue to improve. Every now and then you can get a quick pat in where she enjoys it but will dart off as it's all still too new for her.
Shamira likes to play with toys, she doesn't mind quiet dogs that don't seek feline attention. She LOOVES other cats, and will occasionally come sit on the couch with you for a snooze but isn't to comfortable with you reaching out for pats. She loves her treats and uses the litter tray well.
•She must go to a home with other cat/s for companionship.
•She must be in a predominantly quiet household with no young children.
Shamira has grown so much from when she first came into the shelter and is such a sweet gorgeous girl.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
